Rudechix exploded on the t-shirt scene in 2004 with I'm Cuter Than You, which became an instant hit.  Sherry Mattson, owner and president of Rudechix, wanted the shirts to be fun to wear while also making a statement... something hip and cool, not just the boring one liners. 

The next line introduced was baby apparel.  Mattson's friends starting having kids and wanted cool stuff for them to wear.  For the alterna-dad, My Dad Can Dropkick Your Dad was created, which was quoted in The San Diego Union Tribune on November 11, 2005. Soon Dropkick tees were developed for the whole family: Mom, Aunt, and Uncle.

The next adventure was vending at tattoo and hot rod shows. Rudechix hit the scene in 2005 and has travelled to many states in the U.S. for these events. My Daddy’s Tattoos are Sick has been a consistent top seller, and the kids’ tattoo line also represents Mommy, Auntie, Uncle… even Grandma and Grandpa. Getting Tattoos When I’m 18 usually makes people chuckle and is always a hit. For women, Inked & Sexy beater tanks and booty shorts are very popular, while Hot Piece of Ass booty shorts continue to fly off of our table at every show. Daddy’s Little Gearhead launched at The Grand National Roadster Show in 2009 and sold out, and Future Pin-Up and Heartbreaker complete the Hip & Cool line for kids.

Along the way, Rudechix fell in love with roller derby…. sexy, beautiful, and athletic women skating in fishnets and makeup… and usually tattooed. What more could one ask for? This resurgence of the sport has swept the nation as well as other countries and the women in this sport are amazing, positive, and supportive. Future Derby Chick launched in 2008 at a Los Angeles Derby Dolls bout to enthusiastic buyers. Rudechix started attending Rollercon in 2009, where the new roller derby line for kids was unveiled.

2010 was the year of the shirt design contest for roller derby players and enthusiasts. Our winners not only designed the new roller derby tees, but they are our models on our website as well. These awesome designs rounded out our roller derby collection for women and men:

We think it is important to include your family in derby, so new Derby Mom, Derby Dad, and Derby Husband were new in 2011. My Cousin Does Derby and Derby Wife coming in 2012.
